Trivia for this Episode
This is the first and only 5-part mini-series of the franchise, and was the second set of VHS tapes released in 1994, and is debatably the story arc that elevated the franchise to towering heights at the time.
The first "6th Ranger" for both Power Rangers and Super Sentai.
The first of many times Tommy will be kidnapped throughout the seasons, including Zeo (season 04), Turbo (season 05) and Dino Thunder (season 12).
The referee during Jason and Tommy's match is Ed Neil, suit actor for Lord Zedd and much more over the seasons.
The footage of Tommy awakening as the evil Green Ranger is completely his Sentai counterpart unmorphed, but in the shadows.
First all-American footage of Rita's costume when she's on the building top zapping Tommy.
Footage of Tommy destroying the Command Center is recycled for a season 02 multi-part episode "Return of the Green Ranger."
Footage mostly adapted from Zyuranger episode 17.
This episode was released on VHS on 03/22/94.
This episode was released on again VHS on 09/13/94.
