Trivia for this Episode
Footage mostly adapted from Zyuranger episode 48, episode 49 and episode 50 (final episode).
In the Zyuranger version, Lokar is actually shown destroyed by the Ultrazord, but this footage is unused in the American version
This was originally intended to be the finale of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers due to exhausting all the Zyuranger footage, and was even rumored to have Machiko Soga (Japanses actress for Rita) fly in to the American set. However due to the immense popularity of Power Rangers, 20 additional episodes were ordered for season 01.
This resulted in additional Zyuranger Ranger and Zord footage being filmed in Japan exclusively for the American show, commonly referred to as "Zyu2" footage. However some of the Zyu2 footage would later be used in season 02 instead with Dairanger footage spliced in, resulting in the Dino Megazord being spliced out for the Thunder Megazord until eventually converting to all Dairanger footage later in the season.
Jeff Pruitt provided all the raw Zyu2 footage that's currently available.
A fantastic resource for everything Zyu2 is available on John Green's grnrngr.com website.
