Zack is down when he thinks everyone forgot his birthday, but Rita gives him the gift of the Knasty Knight. The other Rangers join up, but their weapons and Zords are damaged due to the magic Rita placed in the Knight's sword. The secret to this magic must be uncovered for any hope of victory. Trivia for this Episode
When Finster flashes back to the ancient warrior the Knasty Knight defeated on Tarmac 3, the footage is actually of Zack's Black Ranger counter-part in Zyuranger. This same footage is recycled as a flashback during the "Green with Evil" mini-series when Rita talks about the Sword of Darkness.
Knasty Knight had a 5' action figure the following year.
Ernie mentions the "Power Rangers will do for Angel Grove what Batman does for Gotham City". The Dino Thunder team make an additional Batman reference during the season 12 premiere.
Rita's monster book has concept illustrations of several past and future monsters including Genie, Chunky Chicken, Bones, Snizard and King Sphinx.
